Ste. Matthieu du Parc, Quebec
To one side of the massive meditation hall is an ascending ridge of rock, trees, and full-bloom goldenrod. And, to the other side, is a spring-fed lake of decent proportion for kayaking, swimming, and other water sports. Most of the action, however, takes place indoors. Even I have found it a challenge to hike the trails due to scheduling and the rather constant rain.
Mahatma presented for a second day, a seminar on self-care with theme “Save Yourself Before Saving Others.” So well received. Then, I had the honour to present some of my poetry to the group. There are requests for the upcoming book on poetry which I haven’t, as of yet, given a title. Malati gave part two of her time with Prabhupada, and addressed in particular, how graceful and considerate he was in dealing with his female disciples.
Unfortunately I missed the presentation by Sundara Chaitanya Swami from Mauritius. I certainly didn’t bypass the prasadam which was as sattvic as could be. Of course, I’m talking about not a chilli in sight, nor on tongue – thank you!
And for the guests who are listeners, well, during downtime we all mingle, and whether senior or junior age, there is mutual learning going on. The experienced offer their experience in order to breed a new experience. That’s just how a sangha is supposed to work, it involved growth.
