MOTHER'S DAY
Who can replace mother?
The one to daily discover
Full of endless surprises
Where love continuously rises
There is warmth in the thought
Feelings deep, not taught
Of the holding and feeding
For you she has done some bleeding
There is affection on high
The sort that makes you cry
Generally they are cold tears
Emotions far from technofears
She will always say, "My Baby"
Even when you are agey
Now, Anna Jarvis had this to say
"There must be a Mother's Day"
Inaugurated in the year 1914
To honour all moms as routine
A worthy notion and gesture
Sadly, Anna observed its conjecture
For no one should commercialize
An event meant to internalize
One to digest, to reflect
To make that meaningful connect…
…In memory or in deed
Mother's life changed when came the seed
She became a happy carrier
Our indebtedness has no barrier
She was with you in your first bed
You can be there when she lie dead
Though always alive in mind
Will there ever be someone so kind?
