HEART WARMING DAY
Thursday, November 20th, 2025 Ramsden Park, Toronto Our very own Bhakta Om, resident of our temple ashram , delivered his first class today from the book, Bhagavatam , and the topic was Yasoda investigating the accusation that her young son, Krishna, had eaten dirt. To confirm, Krishna’s stance that this was untrue, she saw to settling the matter simply by asking Him to open His mouth and she could see firsthand for herself whether it was false or not. He opened His mouth,

A MEMORABLE VISIT
Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 Rosedale, Toronto It was just great seeing an acquaintance, dear friend, Jivan Mukta. I popped into the temple’s dining room, Govinda’s, where the prasadam food is quite exquisite (sometimes, though, a little too rich), and I spotted Jivan sitting there enjoying a meal. I came over and took a modest amount. It is easy to overeat. We struck a conversation over a great meal. In the early 80s, we spent time travelling together throughout On

FULL DAY!
Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 Yorkville, Toronto The temple/ ashram was like a busy beehive. A new boiler was being instilled in the basement. A major pipe burst on the second level floor was going through major repair. In the middle of floors one and two, an old stairwell was being stripped of its old paint. Finally, the assistant rooms’ floor was being sanded for a fresh new look. All scenarios were MEN AT WORK! Let’s not forget the two men and women from our very o

THE ROCK
Monday, November 17th, 2025 St. John's Newfoundland I was compelled to write about Newfoundland, affectionately known by locals as The Rock. Here is the poem: THE ROCK (In Reference To Newfoundland) There is a passive passion about ‘The Rock’ Where there’s always a trail for a hiker’s walk And where (affectionately) Newfies bear thick skin Below the flight of seabirds, gulls, and puffin But under a blast of occasional starlings Are a breed of sweetie pie darlings Hearts

SURE BEATS ANY BOOZE PARTY
Sunday, November 16th, 2025 St. John's Newfoundland From St. John’s edge at Mount Pearl, I followed the Great Trail to Topsail meeting walkers and runners, some with pets. It was Bob, the Bahai follower, who picked me up and transported me to the Hindu Temple in Penny Lane. There I was greeted by members of familiar faces, happy to see me, and likewise. Services had begun with some puja in offering to the deity, Sri Krishna. Then I was given the floor to sing and sp

DAREDEVIL ANGELS
Saturday, November 15th, 2025 St. John's Newfoundland Our extraordinary leader for the Krishna community here in St. John’s, demonstrated an inspiration that you don’t find in most individuals. Before sunrise, Seeshan drives to George Pond near the famous Signal Hill and takes a serious dip through all weather conditions. Perhaps ‘dip’ is misleading. He spends minutes in the most frigid conditions, and it boosts his health tremendously. When it is winter (which it soon
