The temple/ashram was like a busy beehive. A new boiler was being instilled in the basement. A major pipe burst on the second level floor was going through major repair. In the middle of floors one and two, an old stairwell was being stripped of its old paint. Finally, the assistant rooms’ floor was being sanded for a fresh new look. All scenarios were MEN AT WORK!
Let’s not forget the two men and women from our very own residence were clearing the dust left from our very own residence were clearing the dust left from the prepping and painting of the quarters of our guru, Prabhupada. That also included a polishing of the brass deities of the ten avatars. All this done in pure devotion, DEVOTEES AT WORK!
The buzz that was taking place was phenomenal. And, on top of that, operations went on as normal. The six aratis were executed. The four cookings of the day took place. Govinda’s Dining Room and Matchless Gifts Boutique went on as usual.
What can I say, so much love was in the air.
I was anticipating my 7:30 PM Gita class on Zoom. Well, that happened while a Tuesday sangha took place in the temple room.
Finally, for my own personal gratification, my siblings and I had a group call, a birthday call for my sister, Rose Ann. The only thing was that she wasn’t on the call. Se surmised that she forgot. Oh, well!
After all of this, I had such itchy feet. It was time to get mobile, after all that while. I donned my coat, slipped into my shoes, and tackled a walk just shy of 10,000 steps.
Full day! The only way it should be on behalf of Krishna.
