SAD DOG

Halifax, Nova Scotia
Trails are for people and trails are for dogs along with their master. Today I couldn’t feel much like being a walker or a dog to one’s master, Krishna. Leo took me for the ride to Montreal Airport, a three-hour run, so no walking in the morning. I arrived at Halifax, only to experience some fatigue. No walking. I rested, then off we go to the Halifax Temple where we now have been settled for only 13 months. How sweet it was when I saw 300 persons packed in our new place. That wonderful experience of speaking and chanting settled my heart, but I found no room for the trail. Back in my mind there was a sad dog that didn’t get released.
I guess I was on a leash. Krishna, my master, kept me under His control with things to do, things that I like to do, just the balance was missing, being a loose puppy for a run.
I met with my actors, some local, some from Toronto, for our first reading of our script together, “Big Fish, Little Fish” a favourite storyline for the bhakti audience. We are preparing for the Halifax Chariot Fest the coming weekend. Everyone is excited. No trail.
So now, it is nightime, but not too late to check on other events that took place in our northern zone of Canada and the north U.S.A. Apart from the success of yesterday’s opening in Quebec with a fine temple and restaurant, when I called the Waterloo branch I heard from Paramahamsa, its leader. I was thrilled.
He answered saying, “It was successful. We served over a thousand plates of prasadam. People were happy.” When I called our leader for Niagara Falls, Vimala expressed, “Our kids Chariot Fest was a big draw.”
All good but I didn’t hit a trail.
