Collingwood, Ontario
It was merely a one-hour drive to Collingwood from Barrie. Our team of eleven were well rested, compliments of Dave Patel, owner of Four Points Hotel. The night before, we took full advantage of the porch. Of myself included, adding to the adventure of our road show, and creating a memory that the body won’t soon forget.
Harsh weather has come on easily this year. As I write this blog, there are serious warnings about treacherous storms. I personally don’t have a problem with storms. With endless complainers, I do find on yesterday’s dynamics, well, people were slipping and sliding all over the place on the streets of Collingwood. Inside the venue for today’s performance, at Lotus Sound at Hurontario St., we were protected along with brave travellers come to see the show of Krishna’s message. Apart from the actors, all spectators sat listened and absorbed before engaging in the freestyle dancing and chanting. I believe everyone there felt protected in that atmosphere, perhaps being reminded from the drama itself that the most vicious storm of all is not outside, but inside one’s being. We all know of the crazy mind. That is a mental storm.
This afternoon was the fifth of our shows before we hit the last one which will be in Toronto. The audience was so supportive, and our actors and techies found it to be a very reciprocal group and mostly a western crowd, a new-age genre. It was such a pleasure, primarily because Krishna’s message was being disseminated, and in an entertaining way. Jai Sri Krishna!
