CHECKING OFF THE LIST

I was blessed to give a class from the Bhagavatam, Canto 7, the story of Prahlad, the young boy who proved so courageous. The attendance was small physically, but online it showed more interest. One listener responded, saying, “You helped my son so much, spending time with him. It changed him. I’m so grateful.” When hearing this from a proud father, I got a little choked.

The Bhagavatam discussion was my last moment before departing for Harrisburg, the destination for the Chariot Fest, located on an island in the Susquehanna River. This was our premiere performance of “Big Fish, Little Fish”. We were a bit troubled by some technical sound difficulty in the beginning, but we corrected the situation and all went well. In fact, I was very proud of the actors.

Actually, our crew offers an entire show of some Bharat Natyam dances, kirtan singing, and the drama. In Harrisburg one act simply followed another while I was the person to function as the host or MC while the performers were getting ready for the subsequent act. That also worked quite well.

We completed our show, had some tasty prasadam and it was time to go for our next destination, to Chicago, a long road trip that would take us 13 hours. We saw in the darkness the most beautiful clouds, experienced rain like never before, then a rainbow, a sunset, a moon, and Jupiter.

To date on this trip, from where I started, I can check off on my list New Vrindavan, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Gita Nagari, Harrisburg and now enroute to Chicago.
