CARU IN KRISHNA'S HANDS

Caru was a good friend to many

Who never thought he’d leave us so soon

A day of colours had come when he

Saw a last waning gibbous moon

The mystery of life sprung upon us

With an elimination surprise

Leaving us speechless or at a hush

Loud utterances might not be wise

He’s now on a long golden journey

As we ponder on what he did achieve

In his ahead-of-his-time – he was early

For that we cannot come to grieve

Mr. Maverick, Mr. Innovator, Mr. Champ

Sir Out-of-the-Box and Colour Master

His Holi powder was thrust in every camp

No one could move or shake faster

That mobile festival of India – a founder

There at the right time or place

He also became a llama counter

Creative ideas he always embraced

A class-giver, witty and fun

And life he shared with an awesome person

Vaibhavi, a lovely Australian, was the one

A couple so loyal and endearing for certain

Radio broadcasting was another forte

His mingling in Mormon country – incredible

Yes, many friends were made each day

For him, good relations were never regrettable

When we hear that someone is indispensable

I am inclined to agree with the phrase

Caru was unique and is irreplaceable

An inspiration we are left to praise
