ABOUT DOUBT

What about doubt?

The region between yes and no

A true suspension

Betwixt still and motion

A state of uncertainty 

An emotion most certainly

Something very awkward

Like riding a rough curb

The mind whispers "When in doubt

Doubt the doubt"

It may even shout

"Just leave it out"

Or "Do the obvious

Throw it under the bus"

When in doubt – don't

Another way to say "I won't"

But you've got to do something

Better than doing nothing

It can be confusing

Perhaps even amusing

Doubt is a mental adventure

Where the intellect wants closure

Doubt is passion without play

An opportunity to pray

Think very liberal

When doubt is critical

Choose to live

Give and forgive

You're bound to find out

Time removes doubt

Replacing it with a new one

Face it and don't run

Doubt is simply not a sin

It encourages looking within
