My day began with a family of racoons. “Hold still!” I insisted as I held the photo portion of my phone to capture the charm, but they were mostly young ones – fidgety. They scrammed out of there. It was their hour, dark and early at 4.20 am.

Oh! Well!

Today was special the special Anniversary of our guru’s (Prabhupada’s) passing. The other devotees in the temple room were also poised to sing, greet the deities and hold a special place for Prabhupada in their hearts. I was honored to lead the kirtan chanting for a second time later in the morning. A standard ceremony is held around the world to show reverence to the founder of our movement, who 100% affected a change in the world. While we are all in the throes of a dark era, what is known as the Kali Yuga, there are some bright spots that you will find. During one of my classes, I was reminded by a senior God sister, Radhika, that began/vegetarianism has been on the rise. That is noted, Radhika, and I agree with you that progress has been made. We are having, however, a polarized world. In Canada, its slightly different. The popular attitude is anti-Trudeau.

As a devotee of Krishna, politics affects our lives, but the real emphasis is on the spirit.

One of our boys recently purchased a tesla and he asked for my priestly assistance for a blessing, so he proceeded in a ritual to involved a coconut camphor and lemons.I did get the lift I wanted to a destination which allowed me some distance to cover onfoot. Finally an insist for the evening at the Sharmas for mantra, food and a strong message about Prabhupada.
