Niagara Falls, Ontario
I had my chance to tell some memories of the past before godbrothers and sisters highlighting the dynamic fundraising we all did together for achieving the downpayment for our current temple, the incredible days of saving one of our women from deprogrammer kidnappers, and the overall beauty of a family/community feel. We were a team of unimaginable proportions.
It was the third and final day of our Jubilee Reunion.
Quick! A photo shoot had to take place of those pioneers at the former Gerrard St. Krishna temple. We got a flash taken half a century later. We are older now, wiser, slower, but still sweet survivors. We had guts dealing with the world.
I had to now depart for a Hamilton destination at a yoga studio. My driver, Radhika Rasikha, and passengers, Luv, Nityananda, Uddhava, and I participated in a jovial kirtan yoga dance. Attendees had a grand time and all in a dedication to Radha, Krishna’s consort. In general, the public loves to hear about a culture that recognizes both male and female divinities.
My final visit for the day was at Fireman’s Hall in Niagara. Those of us on this trip were pleasantly surprised to see our community growing, and with an increasing number of young people coming. It was also the first drama hosted by the group, which portrayed the pastime of Radha’s birth. Very touching!
Now, two of our passengers had never seen the Falls before, so you know what that means! We ventured over to where tons of water splashes and where the fireworks were let go. We got home very late.
