SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Rosedale, Toronto

We had some leisurely time in the park. A musician came out to that green space at Ramsden to “sharpen her tool” as she played so wonderfully adding more pleasure to the already enhanced atmosphere. Nityananda and I sat at a bench and Amala came nearby to talk in our ears to sweet notes. From this spot we moved on for a planned walk through residential Rosedale.

Only after that trek did I put my hands on a Gita to read more about beauty, softness and kindness stemming from the purport to a verse on devotion and love. I will share 9.29 with you:

The lord says here distinctly, mayite, “They are in Me.” Naturally, as a result, the Lord is also in them. This is reciprocal. This also explains the words ye yatha mam prapadyante tams tathaiva bhajamy aham. “whoever surrenders unto Me, proportionately I take care of him.” This transcendental reciprocation exists because both the Lord and the devotee are conscious. When a diamond is set in a golden ring, it looks very nice. The gold is glorified, and at the same time the diamond is glorified. The Lord and the living entity eternally glitter, and when the living entity becomes inclined to the service of the Supreme Lord he looks like gold. The Lord is a diamond, and so this combination is very nice. Living entities in a pure state are called devotees. The Supreme Lord becomes the devotee of his devotees.

The above passage written by author Prabhupada reflects something very beautiful.
