Nice Marriage

Russell, Ontario
It was an auspicious day on the calendar. I was fortunate to capture that magnanimous moon over the river at Russell. Fortunate too, under the moon and coming sun, a marriage is taking place at the local farm known as the Kadamba Farm.
The lucky couple, Ajit and Ananga Manjari, are to be wed. And it was executed by my driver, Nityananda, in country style under an arched canopy. Friends and family gathered under that shelter to hear, see, smell and later taste what a marriage event offers. I mingled with some of those attendees who came from New Jersey, Colorado, Quebec as well as localities in Ontario.
I opened the event with words of wisdom from the Gita regarding yajna, sacrifice, and how it makes one happy. I pulled out a few jokes but reminded all that we are not these bodies, but spirits. I told of my walks and the benefits of introspective trekking.
The wedding proceeded.
I clicked this photo earlier of the one-of-a-kind moon, and now I increased my number of shots of that divine couple. Ajita is my sisya, student and Ananga is a new friend. As the procedures resumed I saw that the couple, and their parents were enjoying the moment, like anything. The priest, Nityananda, announced that the step-by-step method is over. Garlands had been exchanged.
But wait! The ring!
I captured that moment when Ajita received his ring. Their response was precious. Click, I got that one.
