MANY SPARKLES

Yorkville, Toronto

It was a stay-at-home day, catching up and wrapping up.  After a rare six straight hours rest after the plane ride, my gayatri, and rounds (on meditation beads), I walked into the ashram’s conference room and there was playing on the wall old vintage stuff from Boston and Frisco.  There was our guru, Srila Prabhupada, with hippies gyrating; it was precious.  And while that was streaming his voiceover was the speech he delivered in Toronto, June 1976, Sunday Feast.  Double mercy!

Then Kevin, a popular YouTuber from the past, stopped over.  His specialty now is book distribution in Arabic language.  I asked if he would take my assistant, Nityananda, under his wing and show him the ropes.  The two had a splendid time.  People do buy books.  And there are spiritual books, the most transcendentally charged publications on the planet.

I do appreciate all that Nityananda does for me.  And for the community, he is now trained to do house blessings – havans/homas (fire sacrifices).  He does all of that well.

I also have him engaged in our next drama preparing for a Krishna conscious Christmas session.  He is expressive.  He can be serious as a priest and become a little lighter at other times.

In my reflection of the day, part of the wrap up, was thoughts of the past weekend in Halifax with Nityananda and others at the harbourfront.  ‘Twas good!  Many sparkles.
