LOW IS HIGH
There is something extraordinary He had done
Krishna, once again, surprised everyone
The event was venued in Indraprastha
The city of grandeur, beauty about every casa
Attention was on Yudhishthir, the king
Statesmen, elites came, and those who dance and sing
Brahmins too, priests of the highest order
Indeed, guests from all sides of the border
But it was Krishna Who was most admired as He offered His reverences
He exuded a warmth, revealing no preferences
He was equal to all as each person entered
He bent low to the feet, made each feel centered
He, Himself, was Guest of Honour Supreme
He chose modesty, humility as the theme
His cousin, Yudhisthir, was heir to sovereignty
The one chosen to anchor world harmony
But, it was Krishna who in effect stole the show
By stooping low, that if we copied could grow
Think of this – washing the feet of every guest
Can one at all think of a more noble gest?
To He Who wields the most fiery wheel
And bares a bludgeon hard enough to kill
On the tender side is the soft, fragrant lotus
And a conch that sounds as if to offer a bonus
