Christie Pits, Toronto

The daily walks are an integral part of my life. They have become as essential as the brain and heart for functioning. At age 72 I need to keep that focus for my longevity, energy, and overall wellness. Getting out the door, taking in the air, sun, wind, drizzle, are habits I picked up from Srila Prabhupada. Like many other followers of our guru, we have seen pics of His Divine Grace walking in the fields of Mayapura, India, and bundled up for walks by the Pacific, Indian, Atlantic Oceans, by the Thames, New York, Frisco, Germany, Venice Beach, Moscow, etc.
These are indeed inspirational optics of a person not only taking care of himself, but giving himself to the world, his students, the public of the region he is in. I wish It lasted longer. He was at his ambling and travelling for 11 to 12 years, and we all benefited from it.

Chirag and I kept it in the core of our heart that a trek down the street made this day complete. Though our drama practice completed by 9:45 PM, we made sure that steps would also be completed before laying down our weary bodies to rest. Chirag is from Winnipeg and is unfamiliar with Toronto neighbourhoods. Nothing to worry about really. I brought him along on Bloor to the end of Little Korea.
On another occasion I’ll bring him to the Beaches are where at least I can feel the presence of our guru when we took him on the boardwalk 49 years ago. That was special.
