It is quite exciting what the organizers of ISKCON Leaders Sangha are asking of myself and our thespian group. It has been arranged that on February 15th we will perform our drama, Witness Gopal in the TOVP temple room before 1500 people.
So, that is ecstatic and also a challenge. Technically, I hope to be able to pull it off. I did meet the general manager of the place, the sound and lighting experts. We determined all other aspects of the play – a makeshift preparation area, backdrop, stage carpet – the works. Oh yes, and headsets.
Several performances we will tackle in the Samadhi Auditorium which caters more to the general public.
As mentioned before, the story of Witness Gopal entails truth. It also carries the theme of cooperation and the concept of ‘unity and diversity’ – much needed in these troubled times of Kali Yuga, the age of darkness and ignorance.
Just looking at the building, the TOVP, it’s awesome. The magnitude is incredible. I am sure that within the next ten years Mayapura will be supremely flooded with pilgrims from all over the world. It was the prediction of Bhaktivinod Thakur that Americans, Russian, Germans will converge to the place of current Mayapura to glorify Chaitanya.
Well, it’s coming to pass!
