WHAT WILL BE NEW IN THE NEW YEAR?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2025

Toronto, Ontario

We are in the midst of winding down another year. It becomes most appropriate to analyze, assess, reflect on what this past year has done for us. In my own meditation on 2025, it has been in many ways, a mess of a year, socially, politically and spiritually. For those who hold fast to dharma, righteousness, there is sustainability. A level of tolerance and hope prevails in the lives of the faithful.

With all the discontentedness that has occupied our lives, shall I mention hatred, lack of gratitude, and overall lack of vision and love in our world? I wonder how we will carry on?

The spirit of kali yuga is very strong. It is shocking at times to hear what some of our leaders have to say in most undiplomatic ways. Where will we end up in all the low morality levels?

The only solution to the multiple problems of today is a surrender to the Divine, and in particular, to God in the form of MANTRA. Because the atmosphere has escalated into a major toxicity, the antidote according to all conscious literature, is clean and pure sound. There is the immunity in the MANTRA.

Perhaps I am a dreamer in thinking that we can reverse the state of hatred bred by bad language by a non-polluting sound vibration. That is the ultimate de-tox.

On this evening, we did something positive to counteract the dark influence. First of all, it won’t be surprising for you to hear this, I went for a walk with my Manitoba companion, Chirag, then we gathered our whole drama team together to tweak the message of the Gita in a two-hour intensive practice.
