Waterloo/Brampton/Oakville, Ontario

It was 46 years ago that Terry Fox did his famous Marathon of Hope for Cancer Research. Over 30 countries in the world engage in the Terry Fox Run and today is the day that it occurs in Canada.

This is not to compare notes but I felt like I was on a marathon today by visiting four locations

ending at home base in Toronto. My venture began at Wilfred Laurier University at a sponsored “Heartfulness” event with emphasis on the theme peace. September 20, 2026 also marked the day for the arrival of world diplomats in New York. Let’s see what comes of that effort.

In any event I was invited as the key note speaker at WL University in Waterloo. I spoke for 20

minutes before a group of folks quoting the Bhagavad-gita on the peace formula. In as most

formal way possible for me, I expressed the need to address three points 1) the acknowledgement that we are all obliged to give to the Creator, 2) recognize the Creator as proprietor and lastly 3)God is in the heart giving direction.

I can’t say I was proud of my delivery, yet I made my points. In Brampton, the second stop-over, I introduced our Swiss visitor, Krishna Prema Rupa, who happens to be a monk. I also made my promo for the upcoming men’s retreat, MANTRA, for October 2, 3 and 4. But the blitz on the day continued at ISKCON’s Oakville location at 1 Gita on Speers St. This batch of bhaktas had a slew of questions regarding life’s challenges.

The final stop was for rest — in Toronto. My driver, Jagannath, and I pushed through.
