NINE POINTS

Moundsville, West Virginia

It is my usual ritual when I come to New Vrindavan. I circumambulate the lake. I go on the little physical power I have. Though the place is peaceful my body was not restful, so I went without sleep. Still, the almighty Krishna gave the energy for me to lead the Mangal Arati song, to dance to deliver the Bhagavatam class, and finally I gave a presentation to the attendees, leaders of zone 2, how we are doing things in zone 1. Somehow I pulled through.

The topics I shared that have led to some of our success in zone 1 are as follows:

  1. Approach Your Service With Fun

  2. Teach the Conscious Kirtan Course

  3. Love Your Turf (for Krishna)

  4. Prabhupada Centeredness

  5. Men and Women Share - Respect

  6. Reinforce Family Values

  7. Establish Bhakti Academy

  8. Leaders Visit and Calls

  9. How We Are Growing

It was so well received. Sharing is always the happiest engagement which brings me back to the first point, the point of joy. At the time of my presentation, for openers, I tossed out a volley ball in the air and asked the attendees to catch, or rather volley it, to the count, I was trying to demonstrate what I do when I do my visits to communities. I connect with their youth and we play what I call “Hari Ball,” (usually in the water.)
