High Park, Toronto
The cherry blossoms in full bloom are an incredible draw for residents of Toronto in High Park. The flow of pedestrians is a thick one. Musicians of numerous kinds set themselves up near the entrance off of Bloor St. exposing their well-appreciated talents. Amongst the music makers are Hare Krishnas. Yes, we posed ourselves near the entrance where two paths converge, and it is under the shelter of some jack pine trees, just the right spot.
What transpired?
Well, people came to join us. They wanted a piece of the action, perhaps a piece of the peace. A local yogi, John, joined us. He plopped himself down on our imitation grass mat. Mercury and Velvet, a twosome, brough their acoustic guitar and joined us. At a break from our singing and dancing, John already has a guru and was quite familiar with procedures of pranayama and asana. The other two fellows, both 21 years of age, have heard of karma, the Gita, dharma, and mantra.
They had loads of questions and as they pulled out their lunch of sourdough bread and humous, I supplied answers.
Our experience at the park with so many receptive people gave some of us kirtan devotees a real high, like the name of the park, itself. What a time we had with so many receptive people!
The whole place was like a cherry blossom.

Additionally, as mentioned in yesterday's blog regarding the Youth Bus Tour, let's get it back on the road again! This is such an important program for establishing a Krishna consciousness foundation for our youth, particularly in North America including Mexico. I personally travelled with the group for 10 consecutive summers, especially helping with the drama portions.
A new bus is badly needed. Please donate: https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-for-iskcon-youth-ministrys-new-bus
MAY THE SOURCE BE WITH YOU!
